　　the summer holiday which i’m looking forward to is coming. what great fun it is to go fishing! playing football is one of my hobbies. i can climb high mountains or ride my bicycle. sometimes i can play chess with my father. how interesting my holiday will be! but my father is always afraid i will be hurt by a truck, fall into the water, or fall off a tree. he is also afraid i will fight against others or be kidnapped by bad men. but if i’m careful and polite enough, how could these things happen? what’s more, i think it is impossible for parents to keep their children in a cage like birds for safety. i must try my best to persuade my father.

　　about examination

　　i don't remember how many examinations i've taken since i began my schooling. to tell the truth， i don't like examinations at all. i dare say that， in fact， no student likes examinations.

　　we often hear people say “examinations are teachers' magic weapon”， so most of us may think it is our teachers who give us students so many examinations. but i don't think so. almost all of them have once been students before they became teachers. we don't like examinations， and neither do our teachers， which may be reasonably concluded. what's more， the more examinations we take， the more time will be taken from our teachers and the more trouble our teachers have to take.

　　it is the system in our country， i think， that gives us students so many examinations. if there were no entrance examinations， and all the students could go up to the higher grades without competition， there would not be so many examinations in primary and middle schools. so it is important and necessary to reform the test system. only in this way can examinations be greatly reduced， and then all the students will be happier.

　　internet and our life

　　internet is now one of the best forms of media, with its swiftness and interactivity. internet is becoming the foundation of our modern society.

　　with the assistance of internet, more people can now communicate with one another more freely and quickly. internet also serves to be a great source of wisdom and creation. it is already becoming the electronic library of the future, giving vent to creativity and ingenuity unparalleled in human history. but internet is a double-bladed sword. its ability to distribute information and connect people around the world is often abused by us. junk mail proliferates the internet. every year, many young people are deceived by their online friends…… the damage we have suffered from internet is also too severe to recover.、

　　everybody has some hobbies.

　　i like playing soccer, watching tv, listening to music…but fishing is my favorite relaxation.

　　i like fishing not because i like to eat fish but because i enjoy the wonderful time while i am fishing.

　　my father has a friend named huang cheng who lives in the countryside and owns a big fish pond. he is good at fish-farming. there are many kinds of fish in his fish pond. he can easily support his family with the income from the fish pond.

　　last sunday was a lovely, sunny day. my father drove me to his friend’s place with two new fishing rods, which he bought not long ago. the scene was really beautiful there in the countryside. uncle huang took us to a very good place for fishing and gave us some bait --earth worms. first, i was a little afraid of the earthworms. uncle huang taught me how to use them. then we started to fish.

　　my father put some fish food into the water. soon the part of the water attracted many fish to gather there. as soon as i put the fishhook into the water, the fish nibbled at the bait. i thought that it rose to the bait. so i raised the fishing rod, the fish swam away and my fishing line got entangled in some weeds. what a pity! i was too impatient. i should have waited for the fish to snap at the bait for some time and then i could catch it.

　　so from then on, i became very careful and patient. at last, i caught eight big fish and my father caught only three little fish. i was so happy with my success in fishing.

　　fishing can make me more and more patient and confident! i love fishing!
