　　An Unforgotten Summer Holiday

　　How time flies! I'm fifteen years now. During that longtime, there was one thing that I will never forget. When I was 9 years old, my family took the bus to my grandparents'. Inthe bus, I had a good seat. At 7:30, the bus came to a village. A woman got on with a baby in her arms. Atthat time, there was no seat. But she must lookafter her baby carefully. She had to stand next to me. I wanted to stand upand let her sit down, but I was afraidof hearing the other people say “That girl wants to be praised.” I looked around. Most people were looking out of the windows and some were sleeping. Suddenly, alittle boy behind me, stood up and maderoom for the woman. She said:“Thank you very much” with abig smile. The boy smiled, too. When I told my cousin about it after that,he said :“That child is a great boy.” I'mvery ashamed. Why couldn't I do the same thing as the little boy did? From that, I knew that we should doour best to help people who need help. If everyone makes a contributionto helping others, the world will become much more beautiful!

　　Fast food becomes more popular now, especially among the teenagers and the children. Why do so many people like fast food?

　　For one thing, it's very fast and convenient. It always serves in no time, so we can either eat it in the restaurant or take it away. For another, because of the different ways of cooking, it looks nice and tastes delicious. What's more, the service and environment is good, so that we can have our dinner in a happy mood.

　　However, in terms of nutrition, it's far from satisfactory. Most fast food is junk food. It contains so much sugar and fat, which makes us put on weight so easily. Since the westerners have the fast food every day, most of them have heavy weights, high blood pressure and bad teeth.

　　Therefore, I suggest that we should eat less fast food but more nutritious dishes.

　　Is iPad good or bad for middle school students? I'm a junior high school student named Li Hua. Now many students have iPads and they think it's a fashion to use them. Using an iPad, we can listen to music, download a lot of learning materials and read them on the screen. Apparently, it's helpful to our study, especially to our English listening. Some students, however, bring their iPads to the classroom and listen to music without earphones, which makes the teacher and other students greatly annoyed. Some of them even waste precious time in class playing video games. In my opinion, as students, we should make good use of iPads to help achieve academic success. The classroom is a place for students to study, and therefore concentration is awfully needed for us to learn our lessons. Furthermore, the school should make a rule to guide the students to use iPads in a proper way.
