　　A little boy invited his mother to attend his elementaryschool’sfirst teacher-parent conference. To the little boy sdismay, shesaid she would go.

　　This would be the first time that hisclassmatesand teacher met his mother and he was embarrassed byherappearance.

　　Although she was a beautiful woman, there was aseverescar that covered nearly the entire center side of her face.The boynever wanted to talk about why or how she got the scar.

　　At the conference, the people were impressed by the kindnessandnatural beauty of his mother despite the scar, but the littleboywas still embarrassed and hid himself from everyone. Hedid,however, get within earshot of a conversation between hismotherand his teacher, and heard them speaking.

　　How did you get the scar on your face? the teacher asked.

　　The mother replied, When my son was a baby, he was in a roomthatcaught on fire . Everyone was too afraid to go in because thefirewas out of control, so I went in. As I was running toward hiscrib ,I saw a beam coming down and I placed myself over him tryingtoprotect him.

　　I was knocked unconscious but fortunately, afiremancame in and saved both of us. She touched the burned sideof herface. This scar will be permanent 8, but to this day, Ihave neverregretted doing what I did.

　　今年，家住濰坊市奎文區的曾小雨考托福，英語得了讓人意想不到的高分119分(滿分120分)。我們都知道這個分數的含金量，她真行！

　　曾小雨當年就讀的中新雙語學校數學老師曾經說過：“曾小雨是一個萬里挑一的好學生，她每一次做的數學題都可以作為標準答案。她是各科成績都好，教這樣的孩子又省心又有成就感。”

　　因為學得非常好，曾小雨看上去要比一般人都輕松、快樂、自由，知識面也廣。小學三四年級時，她就讀完了全套中文版《哈利波特》，其它的世界名著更是讀了不少。小學畢業之前就把全套英文版《哈利波特》讀完了。

　　剛上初中時，小雨提出免修英語，因為她和媽媽都覺得已經學會了的知識沒有必要再學一遍，她有能力不用上初中英語課就達到與之相當的水平。到了高中，她再次向英語老師提出免修英語的要求，英語老師覺得可笑，笑她無知自大，老師還沒有遇到過不用上英語課就把英語學好的孩子。小雨給老師用英文寫了一封信，說明她不用上英語課的理由，老師看后連連稱贊，說她教了一輩子英語，都沒見過英語句子如此連貫、語法措詞如此準確的學生，于是就允許她在英語課上閱讀課外英文、自學雅思英語。

　　很多孩子到了青春期就出現很多問題，可小雨卻沒有。閑暇的時候，人們經常看到小雨的父母和小雨一起散步，一起聊天，一起交流人生，那種溫馨真是讓人羨慕。

　　很多人都說這樣的孩子實在是可遇不可求，但有的家長即使遇到了也未必能培養出這么出色的孩子。小雨爸媽對孩子的教育非常用心。

　　曾小雨的爸爸在北京工作，媽媽在濰坊的醫院工作，平時很忙，但是不論多忙，兩口子都沒有忽視小雨的成長。剛上小學，媽媽就很重視她的英語學習。曾小雨在雙語學校上小學，英語課比一般學校要多。媽媽謙虛地說自己聽不懂英語，但會給孩子買各種英語書和磁帶。家里在任何時候都放著英語磁帶，不強求孩子聽，但是一直放著，培養孩子的語感。

　　當很多孩子的家長看那些肥皂劇，孩子也跟著上癮，連做作業都寫不安穩，心里總想著電視劇的情節及后面的劇情時，小雨的媽媽卻在給孩子放英語磁帶聽，不是逼孩子坐下來安靜地聽，而是不管吃飯、洗涮，還是睡前，都給孩子打開錄音機，放上英語磁帶。當小雨有了一定的詞匯量，媽媽就和她一起看英文頻道的新聞。

　　對于她們來說，學好英語很簡單，就是得多聽多看多說。簡單，但是要堅持。

　　很多學生不愛學英語，因為我們中國學生在學英語的過程中，常常是前一個步驟還沒學就學下一個步驟，就像沒學會爬就先學跑。比如有好多中學生沒經過學習字母、音標的過程，以至于到了大學連字母的讀音都讀不正確，音標也認不全。許多學生到了初高中見了有音標的單詞自己也不會讀，只是聽老師怎樣讀，自己就死記住單詞的讀音。

　　學習任何一門功課都是循序漸進的，可在學英語時，我們學習的某些步驟被中斷了。因為這些步驟的中斷，學起來就比較困難，這也就是為什么有許多聰明的孩子數理化學得很好，就是對英語不感興趣。

　　無論在哪個英語學習階段，如果字母、音標不熟的話，就該回過頭去補上這一課，因為這是最基礎最容易學習的，我們不能因為容易就輕視這些最簡單最基礎的知識學習，而學好這些能達到事半功倍的效果。

　　有的學生學的是啞巴英語，只是看，不讀，也不寫，這是事倍功半的方法。請你記住，學英語，要大聲朗讀。

　　還有的同學死記單詞，碰到比較長的生詞，一下子就想記住，連續不停地寫十遍二十遍，越寫越心煩，越懷疑自己的記憶能力，這種學習方法在大學里都存在。碰到比較長的單詞不要死記，寫一兩遍，下一次碰到有個印象就行，有了印象，再遇到時就比較容易記住，而且你還可以過一段時間再復習。

　　學好英語的方法有很多,可歸結如下:

　　1、定期學習。每天學習一會兒比一周集中學幾個小時效果要好。所以請你每天擠出一點時間讀寫英語。要記住一篇課文，每天讀兩遍，一個星期就能讀14遍，這樣的記憶效果更佳，可是你把這些工作量集中在一個時間段落內完成，一上午讀一篇課文14遍，只能讓你產生厭煩情緒，而且記憶效果還不行。

　　２、通過上下文記單詞，別靠死記單詞表。有的同學一見到課文生詞多就一個一個地記憶，并一次把每個單詞寫上十遍二十遍，還咒罵自己記憶力不行，其實不如一次記憶很多單詞多重復幾遍效果更佳。

　　３、不管對課文理解了多少，盡可能多讀。一個單詞出現在不同課文中三遍，你就能對這個單詞有深刻的印象，可你讀同一篇課文把這個單詞讀上十遍也不一定記住。

　　4、學會使用一些常用短語。

　　5、使用不同版本的教材。包括閱讀用的'、聽力用的和語法用的。變化學習所用的教材，看不同的書，會更有興趣學。

　　6、盡可能手寫。拼寫通過手指是最容易被記住的，正是移動的鋼筆寫字時的記憶有助于正確拼寫。所以建議你抄寫句子或課文，抄寫也是一種思考方式。

　　7、經常拿出以前的課本翻翻看看，這樣省去查詞典的時間，還給你一種學好英語很容易的感覺。

　　語言是一座堡壘，是需要強攻的。

　　利用別人經常浪費掉的時間，乘車等車時間，上飯前的時間。

　　如果你遵守這些規則，你會達到事半功倍的效果，而且要比別的同學學得輕松些。

　　還有，如果有條件，家長要盡力為孩子提供一種英語的語言環境。
