In recent years, tourism has been popular and played an important role in our nation’s economic growth. However, I am afraid that if tourism develops over, it will bring harm to the environment and give rise to many problems.
There are a few reasons accounting for my views and I would like to list three of them. One of the examples is that a large number of woods and other plants were replaced by all kinds of accommodation facilities or scenic spots. That definitely breaks the ecological balance of these areas and destroys the natural beauty of the scenic spots. Worse still, more pressure has been placed environment protection in that many tourists left their garbage in the scenic spots. In addition, over-developed tourism will occupy large numbers of farmland and lead to the shortage of the land.
In a word, tourism will be harmful to our environment if it is over development. Thus, I do not advocate that we development tourism without considering the environment. And we should keep the balance between tourism development and environment protection so that we can achieve the sustainable development between our nation’s economy and the environment.

A Trip to Beijing
My American friend Tom and I went to Beijing by plane last summer.
On the first day，we visited the Palace Museum and Tian'anmen Square. The next day，we climbed the Great Wall. We took lots of photos. Although we felt tired，it was a fantastic experience. The third day we relaxed. Then we had the Beijing roast duck for lunch. I think it is the most delicious food in the world. Tom is interested in Chinese culture，so we drank tea and saw Beijing Opera in Lao She Teahouse in the evening. Finally，we did some shopping and flew back to Guilin.
The trip to Beijing was short，but it was wonderful. Tom said that he would never forget it.

我們先來(lái)到聞名的“海上名山”的嶗山。我們的車(chē)行駛在嶗山的盤(pán)山公路上，窗外群峰聳立，山海相接；山腳下海浪陣陣，波濤滾滾。我感到像到了人間仙境一樣，令人心曠神怡。
登山了，我們沿著山路往上爬。不久，一排瀑布驟然出現(xiàn)在眼前，那瀑布就像巨龍飛騰，氣勢(shì)磅礴。這就是著名的“龍?zhí)镀俨肌保婷惶搨鳎呛陚サ臍鈩?shì)就像“飛流直下三千尺”般壯麗。
第二天，我們來(lái)到了海濱浴場(chǎng)沖浪。青島的海邊美麗極了：天是一片藍(lán)玉，海是一塊翡翠，遠(yuǎn)望水天相連，蔚為壯觀。我們踩在細(xì)軟的沙灘上，奔向那向往已久的`大海。
大海卷起一層層美麗的浪花，呼嘯著向沙灘打來(lái)，一眨眼它又逃了回去，就像一群頑皮的孩子打鬧著。這時(shí)，一個(gè)一米多高的大浪擁上來(lái)，我趕緊把身體背過(guò)去，一浪過(guò)去了，我就向前走幾步。不一會(huì)兒，又一排大浪沖來(lái)，我趕緊往回跑……我們?cè)诤＠寺曋邢嗷浯蜴覒颍G海碧波留下了我們歡樂(lè)的笑聲，那感覺(jué)正是爽極了。
青島之旅給我留下了深刻的印象，要開(kāi)學(xué)了，我多希望能有一個(gè)像去旅游那樣快樂(lè)的新的開(kāi)始啊！

However, due to my short holiday I only visit several places of my list, with my friend’s companion. st summer holiday, I took a trip to Yunnan. It is in the southern part of our country .It is really a very beautiful place grand mountains, clean rivers and kind people. Trees and flowers are seen everywhere. Every year there are lots and lots of visitors.Maybe you have heard about Shi Lin (stone forests). There are all kinds of strange stones. Some of the small stones look like graceful girls; and the big stones look like handsome men. Other stones look like cats, peafowls, double-edged swords, mice,
elephants and so on. Of all the stones, the stone like a beautiful girl in a legend is the most famous .Its name is A Shima.
I also went to Li Jiang. The roads in that city are just like the Eight Diagrams. Any road in the city goes to the center of Li Jiang. A river runs through the whole city. If you go along the river, you'll never get lost. There are many ethnic minority people in Yunnan. They are very cordial. And they all like singing and dancing. We danced with them around the campfire that night. I really had a good time.
I like the elephants and fruits there best. An elephant is even taller than me! I even mounted the elephant, though I was very afraid at first. But the elephant seemed very friendly. I took some photos with it. The fruits there are very fresh and delicious. They are very good for our health.
The trip to Yunnan impressed me GREatly. I will never forget it.
