我今年八歲了，是黑芝麻胡同小學(xué)一名一年級的小學(xué)生，過了暑假就要升入二年級了。剛?cè)雽W(xué)的時候，媽媽就給我報(bào)了英語課程班，開始我不太喜歡學(xué)英語，課前不預(yù)習(xí)，也不按老師要求點(diǎn)讀，根本達(dá)不到老師的要求，學(xué)不好英語，我自己也很著急。
有一天放學(xué)回家，媽媽催我趕快點(diǎn)讀當(dāng)天的課程，我沒有照做。于是，爸爸讓我翻開課本讀一讀，我根本讀不出來，大部分單詞都不會，爸爸也著急了。正好要放寒假了，我決心把英語趕上去。每天，我早晨起來后就一遍一遍地點(diǎn)讀課文，然后背單詞，最后達(dá)到熟讀課文的水平。經(jīng)過幾天的努力，終于把一個單元的內(nèi)容學(xué)會了，有時候累得真想哭呀！就這樣，我堅(jiān)持每一個上午的.英語學(xué)習(xí)，不到一個月，就把一個學(xué)期的內(nèi)容都學(xué)會了。
第二學(xué)期開始了，我明顯能夠跟上老師的進(jìn)度了，每天堅(jiān)持點(diǎn)讀、背誦課文。一共進(jìn)行了三次考試，我從第十一名逐漸提升到了第三名，老師還專門讓我向全班同學(xué)介紹學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
一年級結(jié)束后，我被分到了精品班，現(xiàn)在我每次課堂聽寫、讀書、背誦都很熟練，我也真正地喜歡上了英語。俗話說：“世上無難事，只怕有心人”。只要能夠堅(jiān)持，就一定能學(xué)好英語。

There are a great many advantages of studying overseas. First and foremost, living and studying abroad offers students a different perspective of the world. What is more, overseas experience is the best opportunity for the real-life use of foreign languages. There is no better opportunity to improve second-language skills than living in the country in which it is spoken.
Generally peaking, it is my view that although going abroad is expensive and perhaps painful, the payoff is worthwhile. In the first place, in addition to knowledge, overseas students can gain precious experiences that those who stay at home will never have. Furthermore, overseas experience, frustrating and painful as it may be, is conducive to the growth of adolescents.
