　　當我還是高一年級時，我看到臺上哥哥姐姐舌燦蓮花，充滿自信的表現，讓我崇拜不已，我期待有一天我也能像他們一樣，能站在學校的舞臺，盡情的表現自己。沒想到當我升上四年級時，竟然意外獲得校長的推薦，給了我一個夢寐以求的英語演講機會。當老師告訴我這個從天上掉下來的消息時，剎那間，我嚇得目瞪口呆。

　　我懷著既期待又緊張的心情準備，在練習的過程中，英語老師為了要我適應計時鈴聲，控制好說完故事的時間，模擬了比賽鈴聲響起的各種突發狀況。當我第一次練習聽到催促的鈴聲，我心想：“天啊！超過時間會被評審扣分！”頓時，我難過得流下傷心的眼淚。老師頻頻安慰我，要我心平氣和熟悉比賽的氣氛。

　　經過反覆的練習，我漸漸的適應鈴聲所帶給我的影響，并且能駕輕就熟的把握時間，最后，我終于能在規定時間內說完故事，也得到更多的'自信。

　　到了正式比賽的當天，我自信滿滿帶著精心設計的各種道具來到比賽現場。每個參賽對手實力堅強，看到每個人將辛苦練習的成果，淋漓盡致的展現在舞臺上，激起了我強大的斗志。輪到我上臺時，我從容自若氣定神閑的態度，以及燦爛可愛的笑容，博得評審和觀眾如雷的掌聲，英語老師和親自前來為我鼓勵打氣的爸媽都極力稱贊我，我對自己的表現給予最高的評價，大家都斬釘截鐵的認為冠軍非我莫屬。

　　當成績公布時，出乎意料的，我居然名落孫山，當場嚎啕大哭，爸媽只能在一旁安慰鼓勵我。

　　雖然這樣的結果，讓我難過不已，但“要怎么收獲先那么栽”，我堅信只要我持續不懈，總有一天能為學校爭取榮譽，我的努力將為自己種出一片幸福的花田。
