　　自從我被送到少年宮學習英語后，我的英語水平逐漸提高了。那是我第一次舉手發言——我費勁心思練習讀好了一篇英語課文后，十分想朗讀給老師和同學們聽聽，但我又沒有這樣的勇氣。原本我是想放棄，可是如果就這樣白白浪費一次機會，那可多不劃算呀。這可是表現自我的一次大好機會。經過心里的一番思想斗爭，我的手終于舉起來了！此時，我的心都快緊張得要蹦出來啦！突然，少年宮的老師叫我起來讀課文，當時我嚇了一跳。我慢慢的地嘗試著讓我的`身體離開椅子。當我開始滔滔不絕地朗讀課文時，我的害怕、顧慮都拋到九霄云外了。待我坐下后，我為自己捏了一把冷汗。此刻，我的心情依然平靜不下來。我想：我這次在全班同學面前一定出丑了！不料，老師點了點頭，臉上露出滿意的笑容。我心里沉重的大石頭終于放下了！我不禁沉寂在歡樂和喜悅之中。因為這是我第一次邁向英語成功的步伐。自從這次的發言后，我對自己更加有信心了。快要期末時，我還代表我們班（少年宮的）參加了“英語口語大賽”。那次比賽，我發揮出了我最好的水平。雖說沒有拿到好的名次，但這也是一種自我的挑戰。

　　經歷過這么多，我真正地感悟到一句話：萬事開頭難啊！但我只要努力去學習英語的話，我就一定能攀登上英語的高峰！
