　　媽媽是個文盲，認識的字不多，她只讀到小學三年級，但她好學。即使讀得書不多，也還是可以講普通話，她也很喜歡看書，不懂的`字不是去問我，就是去問字典。

　　就在這幾天，為了給上初中打基礎，我在背26個字母。媽媽看著26個字母，也輕輕地讀起來。我就問道：“媽，你也會讀呀？”媽媽看著字母說：“我不會，你可以教我呀！”媽媽的話把我震住了。“媽媽，你學這干嘛？”媽媽很洋氣地說：“我不想被社會淘汰，我要開始學英語！”媽媽好像是抱著決心的。她朝表哥說：“阿憲，從今天起，你來教我英語，如果你肯教我，我今天就煮好東西慰勞你。”

　　那26個字母像一座沉重的大山壓在媽媽那兒。要知道，她對此真是一竅不通。不是“V”和“U”搞錯，就是把“I”和“L”混淆，媽媽被這些字母搞得頭暈眼花。如果媽媽不是用好東西誘惑表哥，我想表哥早就不想教她了。媽媽有時還會向我求教。我讓她讀給我聽，她讀道：“啊（A）筆（B）死（C）地（D）……”我一個一個地耐心糾正，媽媽一個一個耐心地學。

　　功夫不負有心人，媽媽終于把那些字母全部認識了，雖然還是發音不準，但已經很不錯啦。再過幾天媽媽就要叫表哥正式教英語單詞和日常會話了。

　　媽媽就是那么好學，她的性格也很倔強，別人越是認為她不會，她越是要硬著頭皮學會。這就是我的媽媽，黃蔚佳的媽媽。
