Although nearly three quarters of the earth's surf-ace is covered with water, it is sea water and undrinkable. The demand for water is increasing, while water resources are scarce. Agricultural production needs enormous amounts of water, so does industry. Besides, the rapid growth of population makes it more and more difficult for people to survive because of the water shortage. So water shortage has become one of the most serious problems.
Fortunately, people have realized this pressing problem and are trying to find ways to salve it. First, people are urged to economize on water. Second, measures are taken to protect water resources. Third, circulating water is used for industrial purposes over and over in factories and treated sewage water is used for irrigation in farming land.

This is the dark side of my university life: Firstly, there is only one dining room in my university. So we often need to wait in a long line, which waste much time. Everyday is always fixed cuisine types, which make our appetites depressed. Secondly, self-study room is not enough. Now we will soon take final exam. So it is difficult to find a self-study room. What’s more, network of my university is very unstable. It is difficult to search

In contrast, the neighboring department that sells similar products for the elderly seems rather deserted by customers. Its saleswoman feels so bored that she can not resist falling asleep.
The picture mirrors a common social phenomenon from a unique angle — people tend to care more for the next generation than the previous one. On the one hand, young couplesdote on children, most of whom are the “only children”. Parents endeavor to prepare their kids for a bright future by raising them healthily. On the other hand, young couples fail to spend time with their old parents, and some of them are even too mean to provide the old with at least a decent living environment.
I think such a trend is quite abnormal and distressing. Filial duty used to be the most highly prized virtue among the Chinese for over two thousand years. Busy as people are, the duty should not be easily shirked. Supplying our old parents with material and emotional supports is not only a repayment to them, but can also set a good example to educate the youth.

i am a student who lives on campus and uses canteen services everyday. i would love to share my opinion on the services i received. also, i have some suggestions on how to improve the canteen services so that the students can be better served.
first, i think the choice of food is limited. we only have three choices of food everyday, and the menu is the same for every three days. i feel tired about the food because i have the same thing every three days. also, the taste is not as good as the home-made one because they put too much salt on the food. i think it is bad for the students health.
second, the people who work in the canteen provide a very bad services to the students. they work very slow and have poor manner. we have to wait on a line for 5 minutes in order to get food. you know how precious the time is, especially for students. they just act and response in a very slow way. and when you ask them questions about the food, such as what that is, and how the food taste, those workers just simple answer i dont know in a poor manner.
i think the canteen services need to be improved. students who live on campus will treat canteen like home because that is a place where they eat. however, the canteen just cannot give students a very harmony environment. so i think the canteen services really need improvement.
