We became friends by accident. One day Jack was playing basketball on the playground. Amazed at how skillful he was, I made up my mind to play as well as him. I was grateful when he agreed to teach me. Every time when I wanted to give up halfway, it was Jack who encouraged me. Gradually, I mastered the skills and became confident enough to challenge the best players in our school.

這周的星期三，在這個陰云密布的早晨，進行了讓人緊張而又難忘的英語期中考試。
早讀課時，我認真地閱讀著英語書，生怕漏掉了什么，使得沒能考到好成績，不過，當時并不是很緊張。就在這時，我聽到了讓老師領卷子的廣播，心里默默地想：放松，放松，我可以考好的，為什么要緊張呢？雖然，我竭力地安慰著自己，可是緊張的感覺，卻油然而生。突然，四（3）班的老師走了進來，原來，她就是我們這次的'監(jiān)考老師。開始放聽力的錄音了，聲音震耳欲聾，有一道題目沒能聽清，結果就蒙了一個答案，心里暗暗地想：慘了，這個題目沒聽清，如果蒙的答案是錯的，豈不是要拖累自己了？后面的筆試部分我覺得很簡單，于是就沒有認真檢查。
第二天，報成績時，我的心“撲通撲通”地跳著，腦神經簡直繃到了極點。雖然得到了一個不錯的成績：98。5，但是那依然不是我心目中理想的成績。果然，我沒聽清楚的那道聽力題不出所料錯了和一個單詞少了復數形式的“S”。頓生悔意，如果我當時檢查一遍或許就只會錯一道題了。
這次考試，因為我粗心和對題目的輕視而犯下的錯誤，銘刻在我的腦海里，從今以后我不能再讓自己重蹈覆轍，要認認真真地做好每一件事。
