有一天，在寫英語作業的時候，我簡直要被這枯燥而又“無味”的英語給弄煩了，我開始想：記單詞這么難，難道就沒有解決的辦法了嗎？如果單詞記住了，可過了幾天又忘了那又怎么辦？我帶著這兩個百思不得其解的問題去請教媽媽，媽媽走到我的書桌旁，看著我已經寫了二十多遍的單詞，坐下來，語重心長地對我說：“學英語要講究方法，不能急于求成，要看平時的積累。要是講到記單詞，我告訴你幾個竅門兒：
1、寫單詞的時候要多用心記，寫幾遍以后要‘回過頭’看看對不對，要保證寫單詞的準確性。
2、記單詞要一邊念一邊寫，這樣可以加深對單詞的印象。
3、記單詞要根據發音，把單詞分成幾截，和已經會背的單詞相互對比著記，這樣不愁單詞記不牢，我學會了學英語。”我聽了，心里頓時豁然開朗。媽媽又開口了：“至于怎么讓單詞忘不了，那就得天天復習，只有這樣才能把單詞記牢。兒子，只要你記住這幾個竅門，以后的英語單詞就不用再犯愁了。”我聽了媽媽的話，感覺知識的大門又向我敞開了。我照著媽媽的辦法，連續試驗了幾天，記單詞真是順暢多了，我的.英語成績像發射的火箭一樣直線攀升。
現在，我已經成了五年級的學生，但是我還是堅持用這幾個竅門兒，它們真是讓我受益匪淺。如果沒有這幾個竅門兒，我的英語成績不會上升得這么快；如果沒有這幾個竅門兒，我也不會成為現在我們班的“單詞王”；如果沒有這幾個竅門兒，我更不會有這么大的詞匯量。
