我的奶奶退休在家，天天在家里打毛衣、看電視、玩手機……過著特別悠閑的日子，可是有一天奶奶坐不住了，非要找點兒新鮮事兒做。
周末，我的同學到我家來玩兒，還帶來了一只貓，它跑到我的身邊，不停的“喵喵喵”地叫，同學做出像懂貓語的樣子，神秘地對我說：“他在說你長得像小王子呢!”我摸了摸小貓的'頭，有些害羞地說：“你說我長得像小王子，Thank you!”
“什么三克油?三克油是什么?咱家又沒油了嗎?”奶奶聽到了，疑惑地問。
我不禁大笑起來，說：“這是英語!Thank you是謝謝的意思!”
當我的同學走了的時候，我對他說了一句“Goodbye”。奶奶摸了摸腦門兒說：“古大白?古大白又是什么?你是在說我很白嗎?”我笑得彎下了腰，笑得口水都快要流出來了，輕輕地拍了拍奶奶的后背說：“奶奶Goodbye的意思是再見!”

在上世紀90年代中后期，鏡湖的水體呈高富營養化狀態，水質嚴重惡化，水變成了黃色。惡化的原因主要有：蕪湖市某醫院通過地下水道將大量未經處理的污物、污水直接排進了鏡湖；部分素質不高的市民往鏡湖里倒垃圾；最可氣的是鏡湖風景區的某些工作人員竟然在鏡湖里洗拖把！慢慢地，鏡湖水變成了黃色，湖面上漂浮著許多垃圾，還散發著一股臭味。來到鏡湖邊的人們都捂著鼻子跑開了，嘴里還不停地說：“真臭！臭死了！”
一九九九年DDD二０００年，蕪湖市人民政府號召全市人民清理鏡湖。首先，工作人員用機器將湖水抽干，再由黨員帶頭和市民們一起挖掉淤泥，最后注入清澈的水。我外公是黨員，他有著親身體驗，外公說，那次勞動很累，但改善了鏡湖的水質，大伙兒都感到很高興。
