　　New Year is especially fun for kids.That's because we get presents and treats,including red envelopes filled with money.We also get to set off fireworks.

　　But we never forget that this holiday is a time to give thanks.We feel grateful for our family and the things that we have.Finally,we think about the future and the great year ahead.

　　The annual May Day is coming again. We received an invitation from her little aunt to spend her vacation in the new house bought in Hangzhou mountain.

　　Early in the morning, we came to the small aunt home collection. By the time everyone arrived, the little Auntie said, "departure", we all followed our way out and got on the train. On the day of dragon boat festival, our family prepared for dinner after having breakfast. Everyone of my family will come back home for the solid diet. Chicken is indispensable on the dinner desk in Chinese traditional festival. There were many delicious foods, which made me watering. I ate lots of them.

　　What's the happiest day of the year? Undoubtedly, it is the most solemn traditional festival of the Chinese nation, the Spring Festival.

　　A few days before the Spring Festival, dad took me and my brother and my Cousins to a market for New Year's goods. As we approached, the streets were full of peddlers, pine nuts, melon seeds and walnuts. And my favorite beef jerky. We walked down the street, and there was a coaxing couplets on every shop. The hawker's Shouting, the noise of the customer, the red and red couplets, there is a strong smell everywhere. We shopped at dozens of stores but didn't buy anything. We came to an old name, and the old lady and father were acquaintances. Dad greeted the landlady and began to pick things up. 　　In many countries it has long been the tradition to hold an annual tree or forest festival. The origin of such celebrations dates back to antiquity and is in the dawn of religious feeling and awe for what trees represented. However, Arbor Day, as it is commonly known today, is of American origin and evolved from conditions peculiar to the Great Plains. It was first observed in Nebraska in 1872.

　　The idea, conceived by J.S. Morton, then a member of the Nebraska State Board of Agriculture, was one of forest conservation. It was a move to promote replanting, following deforestation, and to plant up treeless areas.

　　The idea has spread widely to other lands where it is variously celebrated as the 'Festival of Trees', 'Greening Week' of Japan, 'The New Year's Days of Trees' in Israel, 'The Tree-loving Week' of Korea, 'The Reforestation Week' of Yugoslavia, 'The Students' Afforestation Day' of Iceland and 'The National Festival of Tree Planting' in India.

　　Arbor Day in its various forms is now recognised in more than fifty countries.

Losar is a time for family reunions and feasts, typically featuring Kharbse, a popular dish made from flour and yak milk butter and guthuk, a traditional snack similar to a dumpling.

　　The square in front of the Potala Palace in the heart of Lhasa is spruced up with an ornamental garden and new flags made of colorfully-painted Tibetan clothing, which bear auspicious symbols for the new year.
