　　True friends always come to you when their help is in need。they try their best to help you without thinking what they can get from it。 this invariably wins them love and respect from otbers， for they devote themselves to the happiness of others。

　　Up to the time of my writing this article， aero has been helping me with my selecting the courses with great effort。 he is a friendly and zealous guy。 i think he has been liked by others since long ago because of his characteristics。 he is always brisk，enthusiastic， energetic and he is smiling no matter when or where you see him。 however， i like him for some other reason。it seems that between us there is a special way to communicate and it's not the usual way through which we communicate such as words and gestures。 he has always been a friend of mine be cause i like the way he acts and lives and the way we communicate。

　　One morning a week ago， he came to me and asked if he could be of help。 actually i had been worrying about my course of this semester for days since i hadn't got any english courses yet! still i was totally caught off guard by aero's offer though he had always been kind。 i thought it was my own business and it had never occurred to me that some other individual would offer to help with my selecting the courses。 so i declined his kindness。 the very next day， i got a cough and it later turned out to be a four-day high fever。 in those days， i was extremely weak and lay in bed all day long and hardly had any strength even to eat。 i lost the power to keep an eye on the possible vacancies of the english courses ever since i got a high fever。 i began to regret declining aero's offer。 just at that moment， aero called，asking about my health and told me to have a good rest， saying that he would shoulder the responsibility of selecting my english courses for me。 now i am writing this article as the homework of this writing course and i'd like to re emphasize that it is all due to my friend's effort that i have finally made it。

　　I was really grateful to him when he called and offered to help and it is hard to express my gratitude with words。 all i want to say about it is that at that moment， i realized that he had offered to help not because it made him feel he was important but because he meant business。 he's a man of integrity。 i am proud of having such a friend。

　　I have a cat. I raised it two years ago. Now she companies me all the time, when my parents are out, I won’t feel lonely. She is my loyal friend, and I can tell my secret to her. Once she is sick and I feel sad, when she is better, I become happy again. The cat is part of my family.

　　I always insist that humorous people are the easiest to get along with. However, many other individuals, even if they are a mused by witty humorists at times, do not agree with me upon the fact that a humorous person can become a trusty friend.They refuse to accept "the humorous" possibly because they are deluded by three main misunderstandings.

　　The first one is the erroneous association with adjectives such as "glib" and "superficial," which might attribute to the misunderstanding of the terminology "humor" itself. As we all know, in the modern English language, "humor" is no longer a general term for liquids in the body, but if we were asked what humor is, we would probably say that it＇s merely something that makes people laugh. I am sorry to mention that the statement above has badly deCRIed the worth of the too-muchprofaned word. Humor is not only something that pleases you, but the very thing that pleases you meaningfully. Rather than arousing empty laugh that brays the sanctum, true humorists bring witty smiles to this world. A meaningful humorous story as well as a real humorous person invariably enjoy long life in other words, they are immortal. The work and life of La Fontaine,Moliere etc. did remind us;humor is valuable and profound.Therefore, befriending a humorous person will benefit both our body and mind.

　　Another misunderstanding may be clearly expressed by sentences like "I feared that I would be made fun of by humorists."I think I must emphasize that real humorists do not play jokes on their friends. Even though they specialize in the art of irony,they do not exert that on the kind majority. Instead of designing a new laughing stock, they will convince their friends to smile at grief when they run into trouble. They bring encouraging shrugit offs to friends while reserving the bitter sarcasms for tyranny.Mark Twain, Gogol and Sha Yexin are people＇s friends and sensible CRItics. In the light of this, truly humorous people are philosophers of life who are worthy of making friends with.

　　The third misunderstanding is an arbitrary belief that humorous ones are not qualified for any serious job. But the fact is,great achievements are always accomplished by people with a good sense of humor, not by unimaginative ones who toe the line. Humorous individuals have an intense dislike for red tape.They have long been guided by the faith that simplicity means "explicitness." When Sir Isaac Newton saw the apple fall, something humorous occurred to him that He (God) would not create another law for celestial bodies that differed from the one that confines the apple. It＇s true that a humorous emotion also haunted Einstein when he murmured to himself, "The rule for reference system in electrodynamics must not be anything different from that in mechanics." Then the theory of relativity was born. Following the thoughts of those giants, physicists have engaged themselves in the eternal pursuit of world＇ s unity and universality. And the pursuit continues... Hence, having a humorous friend will also help you to handle tough problems with ease and make inspirational discoveries in "serious jobs."

　　First, to make friends, you must be friendly to others. Smile at others and you are sure to get a smile in return. You should try to make a stranger feel at home wherever he happens to be. Think more of others than of yourself and never judge a person by his appearance and clothes.

　　Second, friends should negotiate instead of quarrel. When you don＇t agree someone, please discuss with him.

　　Finally, never believe in those who leave you when you are in trouble. And never leave your friend when he is in trouble. Remember, a friend in need is a friend indeed.

　　Friends should be faithful to each other. So long as you can put your friend＇s interests in front of yours, you will have a lot of good friends.

　　Some people say yes. The Internet helps make many friends. Chatting on line, students can express their feelings and opinions more freely, and even get help with their foreign language studies.

　　Others, however, think students should not. They say making friends on line is a waste of time, which should be spent more meaningfully on study. Besides, some students, get cheated on line.

　　It is my opinion that students should place their study, health and safety before other, things. As for friendship, we can readily find it in our classmates and other people around us.
