Good morning, teachers. I am glad to be able to enter this competition. My name is Guan Xiaoyu. I’m from Fu’an middle school. I’m 15 years old. I’m a lively girl. I have many friends. I ’m getting on well with them. I’m very like English and I like listening the English songs. I study English very hard. There is a story about my life. The story title is “Believe in yourself”。
When I was 12, I was too nervous to talk to anyone. My classmate often laughed at me. I was so inferiority. Later, some things happened. It changed my life. It was an English speech contest. My mother asked me to take part in it. But I think it is impossible and I can’t do it.“Come on, girl. Believe in yourself. You are sure to beat everyone. You can do it. ” my mother said. Her words give me courage. When I were free, I just practice my English speech. With my mother’s great love, I did well in the contest. I could hardly believe my ears when the news came that I had won the contest. My mother hugged me and I was so excited that I cried loudly.
