　　A Dragon boat race is a traditional amusement activityin dragon boat festival. Today, my mother took me out to watch dragon boatraces. I was very excited, because this was my first time to watch such race. Whenwe arrived at Nanhu Park, there were hundreds of people around the two sides ofthe river. We found a place can see the match clearly hardly. The participatesat on the boat look like dragon. When the signal to start set, everyone on theboat tried their best to make the boat forward. And the people who werewatching also cheered them. The air was very lively.

　　龍舟比賽是端午節的傳統娛樂活動。今天，我媽媽帶我出去看龍舟比賽。我很興奮，因為這是我第一次去看這樣的比賽。我們來到南湖公園的時候，那里有成百上千的人在河的`兩邊。我們好不容易找到一個可以清楚看到比賽的地方。參賽者都坐在像龍一樣的船里面。當開始的信號發出的時候，每個人都努力使他們的船前進。觀眾們也為他們加油打氣。氣氛很熱鬧。

　　生活周遭常有許多的經驗，而最令我印象深刻的就事第一次參加英語演講比賽，因為它很特別，所以令我難忘。

　　他之所以特別，是因為我得到五年級組的第一名，在這次比賽之前，我體會到同學給我的幫助，以及老師的關愛之情，使我感激不已，同學及老師為了這次比賽，費盡不少心思來幫助我，甚至犧甡自己午休時間為我加油打氣，及做道具讓我得到好成績。

　　當我踏上講臺時，看見臺下黑鴉鴉的一群人，心里“砰砰！！”地跳個不停，非常害怕出錯，可是看到老師和同學支持的眼神，使我更加有自信，好不容易完成演說，我很開心，因為我克服了恐懼，完成使命，到了公布成績時刻，大家都鴉雀無聲，當聽到第一名“陳佳緣”時，我立刻跳起來，同學都為我鼓掌，心想:“辛苦是有價值的。”

　　難忘的經驗，有好也有壞，都應該好好珍惜，如果失敗，要加以改善，也不要氣餒，檢討自己優缺點，加以改善，做為下次成功的.墊腳石，就如俗語說的好:“失敗為成功之母”；如果成功，就要更進步，努力往前奮斗，這次英語演講比賽，不僅給自己更大的信心，還留給我難忘的回憶，凡是努力去做，不管成功或失敗都會有很大收獲。

　　I swim three times a week. Most often I swim in my school. I feel very happy when I swim in school with my friends. I often go to swim with my good friend Lily. She likes swimming,too. 　　到了杭州，我們在賽場內看了許多小朋友的表演，他們都很棒，我相信我一定能像他們那樣棒的。在那里等了好長的時間，終于輪到我了。當主持人叫到我的名字時，我的心情一下子緊張起來了。走到臺上我想到了媽媽的話：“把下面的評委當成是班里的同學，他們在聽我領讀英語呢！”想到這兒，我的心情一下子就平靜了下來，順利的表演完了準備好的`節目。聽到觀眾的掌聲，別提我心里有多高興了。夏老師還夸我的表演很不錯，媽媽也說我的表演非常棒。我克服了我膽小的毛病，以后我會對自己更加有信心。

　　The game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on Friday night. Long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

　　By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start. Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters.

　　There is a rest period between the halves. During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other. The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

After the match, the father told his kid that winning was not the most important thing for the match, the first thing was to enjoy the game and finish it, the result was not that important.

　　I agree with the father, the child must be endowed with the consciousness that to enjoy the game is more important than to win. Every match can only have one win, but we can enjoy every match.
